Audition Time

Like last year, it is audition time. I already got into Kirov and Boston, and the only other place I am going to audition for is ABT. I know I don't want to go to Kirov, but otherwise I have no clue where I want to go. ABT sounds so much better to people and would probably give me the best dance experience, but Boston will be the most fun. I will need to pray abou this one.

Winter Concert

I was really nervous for my performance. I had three solos and two group dances. I wasn't worried about my group dances, or my modern piece, but I was pretty nervous about my ballet solos. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get through one of them and mess up the turns in both of them. Of course durring the dress rehersal only hours before I did everything I was afraid of doing. But I guess it helped me because I ended up doing the best I ever did durring the real show.

Birthday

I had my 15 birthday, and it was the best birthday I have ever had. I got my permit, and a couple of other things that were just what I wanted. Everyone in my family were wonderful, and I thank God for them.

Valor

I am going to high school at Valor Christion right here in Colorado. It is probably the best descion I ever made. The school is amazing, and they help further my faith in every subject.

Year round!

I got invited to stay at the Kirov for the school year and study there.  I decided though that I am going to stay in Colorado because I feel that I would be getting a great education and still a great dance technique.  I am a little disappointed but I am really happy that I got invited.

I'm going to D.C.!

I am in D.C. dancing at the Kirov. :)  It is so much fun here.  I leave my dorm at 7:00 a.m. and I don't get back till 7:30 p.m.  The classes I have are mime, flamenco, contemporary, character, pilates, and ballet.  All of my classes are and hour and 1/2 long except for ballet, which is 3 and 1/2 hours long.  I am so sore.  I can't wait to come home.  :)

Decision time

Since I am going into high school next year, I have registered for Valor.  It is a great school, and I am so excited to be going there, one for the academics, and two because I have great friends also going there.  But, I will have to make a really hard decision because I might be offered a spot to go year round at a school in D.C.  where there is this amazing dance school.  It would be hard to leave my family and friends, but I would have a much greater chance at fulfilling my dream to become a professional dancer.  It is such a hard decision! 

Washington D.C.

This year my eigth grade class will be going to D.C. and NYC. We will be seeing the Lion King on Brodway. I am so excited.

Father Daughter Ball

Tomorrow I have a father daughter ball and I am so excited. I went dress shopping with my mom last Friday and got two dresses. But now I can't decide which one to wear so here they are. They are both the same length; about knee length. They have spaghetti straps and I just can't decide which one to wear!

Gran Prix

I just got back from my competition and unfortunately I didn't place. I had fun but I am a little bit disappointed. Thankfully I have a chance to redeem my self next weekend at a performance where I can do my dances again.

Grand Prix is tomorrow!

Everybody pray for me because I have my competition tomorrow. I am a little nervous, but everybody gets nervous, and it gets my adrenaline going. I have two variations, Aurora, and Bravery aka fairy aka finger variation. It has many names. Wish me Luck!

Kiiiirrrooov!

I got into Kirov! (right now I am singing!) I was so surprised, i really didn't think that I was going to get in. It was on Monday night right when my mom was picking me up from school. I was walking out of my school from the coffee shop and my mom was trying to video tape me walking to the car(how embarrassing) but of course the battery was dead. I got in the car and opened the envelope and...I got in!!! I am still amazed. I copied my acceptance letter, and brought it to school with me and showed everybody. I am so happy. : )

Grand Prix!

My competition for Grand Prix is coming up and looking at the line up is making me nervous. We are supposed to go up on stage 10 dances before your own, and this year I have two dances. The only problem is is that they are only 10 dances apart so I have to change my costume really fast and get back up on the stage as fast as I can. I won't even be able to give my feet a rest and take off my pointe shoes. O Well, i guess i am going to have to RUN!!!

Kirov

My audition for Kirov is this weekend, and I am starting to get nervous. I want it so badly, that all I can think about is going to Kirov. I am going to offer sunday (audition day) to God and pray alot, but I am still nervous so pray for me everyone!

Ouch!

I am getting so sore! I keep getting new pointe shoes, I have major bleeding blisters, and I just had a toe nail come off and now another one is bruising. I have tendinitis in my ankles, and Achilles and I even sprained my back. I was dancing 25 hours a week and now I go to the chiropractor once a week and get a massage once a week.

O-MY-GOOD-GOLLY-GOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!!!!!

I can't believe it!!! I got into BOSTON! I got my letter within five days. It said that over 17 countries and 44 states came to the audition, and that over 2,000 girls were expected to audition, and they were only going to execpt 200 girls, and I made it. I was also offered a little scholarship, 10% off of my tuition. I cried when I found out I was so happy. I will go on my own from June 28- Agust 1 and I will stay in a dorm. I am still not sure if I am going to go because it was my second choice and i want to see if i get into the Kirov Ballet, but if I don't, I have a guarenteed spot in Boston. I am so happy, my dream is coming true. While I am there i want to try to go for the residential program which means I would audition to stay there for the year and take kigh school classes and dance 24/7. I can't wait to go!

Boston

I had my Boston Audition on Sunday and it went so well. My age group was 10-14 year olds, and since I was at the top of my age group I think that I have a good chance of getting in. They say that I will get a letter on March 13. I felt so good in the audition. My number was 16 and I was right in front of the judges. I worked my hardest, and did the movements to the best of my ability.

Summer Dance Programs

This year I want to be able to go out of state for a summer dance intesive. For the past two years I went to the Colorado Ballet dance program for the summer. This year I am going to audition for the Kirov, Boston, ABT, Cincinatti, and Washington ballet programs. Kirov is in Washington D.C., Boston is in Boston, ABT is in NYC, Cincinatti is in Utah, and Washington is in Washington state. This is my dream, and I want this so badly. These are my choices in order:
1. Kirov (#1 ballet company in U.S. of A.)
2. Boston
3. ABT
4. Washington Ballet
5. Cincinatti Ballet

My auditions are coming up and I can't wait!!!!!

RESULTS!!

I GOT MY HIGH SCHOOL APPLICATIONS BACK TODAY!!!!!! MY FIRST CHOICE WAS VALOR CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL, AND I GOT IN. I AM SO EXCITED, AND TODAY WAS MY BIRTHDAY, SO IT WAS AN AMAZING BIRTHDAY PRESENT.

Grand Prix Competition

There is about one month until my big competition. I did it last year to one of the fairy variations in Sleeping Beauty. Here is a picture of me on stage.

This year I will have two different dances. One will be with the same pink costume, while the other will be a beautiful white costume. I hope I will place this year!
